LISTSERV Course-Specific List Request

Please Note: To request a list for organizational or administrative use , please use the List Request form instead. Thank you!

Course-specific LISTSERV lists are routinely deleted at the end of every semester, usually within 72 hours following the deadline for submission of grades to the Registrar's Office. If you wish to have this list remain active longer, please make a note in the "Additional Information" field below.

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to automatically populate this list with the students in the class, so you will need to follow these instructions in the Knowledge Base to do so.

List owners

  • The first list owner must be the faculty or staff member or graduate assistant primarily assigned to teach the course for which the list is being requested.
  • Only Faculty, Staff and Graduate Assistants may request creation of a course. Course creation requests are subject to possible verification prior to processing.
  • Additional list owners will also have full control over the list's subscribers and settings.
  • Check Quiet for an owner if you do not want the owner to receive notification when a subscriber joins or leaves the list. There must be at least one non-quiet owner.
  • If you selected "All messages are sent to an Editor for approval" as the "Send" option above, you must mark at least one owner as an Editor.
