PLEASE NOTE: in Spring 2023 additional options were added to the attribute filter.

Students who entered Spring 2023 or earlier follow the Global Miami Plan and should use the attributes that begin with “FND” or Advanced Writing, Intercultural Perspectives.

Students who entered Fall 2023 or after follow the Miami Plan and should use the attributes that begin with “PA” or “SI”.

All students can use the following attributes: Experiential Learning, Honors Course, Senior Capstone, and Service Learning.

Alternative Delivery Types

Face-to-Face

Traditional on-campus courses. Classes meet at a scheduled time and place.

Online Synchronous

100% online and a student never has to come to campus, but the online portion is at scheduled times. Those scheduled times are noted in the meeting time patterns for students to know.

Online Asynchronous

100% online and a student never has to come to campus or meet at any scheduled times. Scheduled times should NOT be noted in the meeting time patterns.

Hybrid Synchronous

Some synchronous online and some face to face where a student must come to campus. Scheduled times for both synchronous online and face to face should be noted in the meeting time patterns for the students to know.

Hybrid Asynchronous

Some asynchronous online and some face to face where a student must come to campus. Scheduled times for the face to face should be noted in the meeting time patterns for the students to know.

Interactive Video Distance Learning

Course section requires a student to attend class at a location with Interactive Video Distance Learning equipment

Study Abroad

Course section is offered internationally (outside the United States and US territories). Additional program fees may apply and an application for acceptance must be obtained from www.studyabroad.miamioh.edu

Study Away

Course section is offered off campus travel (inside the United States and US territories.) Additional program fees may apply and an application for acceptance must be obtained from www.studyabroad.miamioh.edu

Single and mandatory search for only the selected term.

This will display courses only for the selected campus. All Regional campuses includes Hamilton, Middletown, & VOA.

Sorted alphabetically by subject abbreviation, but can be searched within the filter on three letter designation, only showing subjects selected.

Search by one or more full or partial course numbers.
Examples:
"111" will return all 111 courses
"1" will return all 100 level courses
"111,112" will return all 111 and 112 courses
"1,2" will return all 100 and 200 level courses

Attributes allow narrowing the course list by specific Miami Plan requirements or special designations.

Open shows only courses that still have seats available for registration. Waitlist shows only courses that are at capacity and additional action will be required to register.

Course registration number (CRN) is the section specific five digit number (please note that this is term-specific).

Search for the indicated part-of-term.

Search for the indicated course level.


Search for any text that appears in the course title.

Search for the indicated instructor by first or last name.

This will display courses that meet at least on the selected days. (e.g. "Tuesday" and "Thursday" selection will return courses that meet "Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.")

Credit Hours should be a number or a range of number. Each number should be a non-negative integer 0, 1, 2, 3, 4...

To search for only 3 credit hours courses, enter 3.

To search for all courses offer 1, 2, or 3 credit hours, enter 1-3 or 3-1.

Search for the indicated time range; this will include courses with any (not all) meeting time which falls within the range.
